Mic Check, Mic Check, One-Two, One-Two

There are many different forms of advocacy. One that we often forget about is art. Pictures can be more powerful as the written word. Poetry has the power to move us in ways that everyday speech never could.

Syracuse University’s Poet’s Learning Community held their 1st Pajama Jam and decided to focus on the domestic violence. Not only are they thinking and reflecting on these issues at a young age, but they are turning their reflections into spoken word poetry and influencing their peers. Check them out below:
