On this day in 1968, Martin Luther King, Jr. was shot and killed in Memphis, TN. To this day in 2012, we as men embrace violence as a definition of our manhood. Rev. King did not. He preached the power of nonviolence and the compelling nature of unbridled love toward one’s enemies. You’d be hard-pressed to find someone who thought Martin Luther King, Jr. was less of a man for promoting strength through nonviolence. Just something to think about…
